Safety Training
The Employer has the moral obligation to upskill and train staff in health, safety, and environmental compliance. As training requirements will be different from company to company, Meeka OHS Consulting does an on-site assessment to evaluate which safety training is needed. This assessment takes 1 day to complete. Department of Labor Inspectors ask for training records, especially for First Aid and SHE Representatives. And the appointment letters for staff that received certificates.
Safety training for example First Aid Level 1-3, Fire Fighting, SHE Representative (OHSA section 17 and 18), Risk Assessment, Legal Liability, Introduction to the OHSAct, Working at Heights, Forklift and Reach Truck Operators, Supervisors for Machinery, etc. can be done on-site if there are at least 7-10 attendees. Training on SDS’s (Safety Data Sheets) on hazardous substances is essential too.
The time frame for safety training will be dependent on certificates expiring and availability of attendees.
