There are a few things to keep in mind when implementing an emergency plan, such as, Who will be part of the emergency committee, Who will contact emergency services if need be, Where will the emergency plan be kept, Who will be trained in coordinating the emergency process, Which suppliers are to be contacted if operations might not be able to continue, Is the emergency contact list up to date and all contact numbers still valid. And the list goes on.
Its not only about executing fire drills and doing a post-partum after the drills and provide feedback to management, its about educating employees and management about the importance of being alert for all kinds of emergencies.
