Safety Induction
Safety Inductions should be conducted within the first 3 days of an employee’s journey with the organization. It’s a process whereby new workers are introduced to the hazards and safe work practices in their workplace. Its also important that all workers receive a safety induction before they commence work in any new environment.
Section 8 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act clearly stipulates the responsibility of an Employer to conduct Safety Inductions with their employees. The mentioned Section emphasizes the importance of a Safety Induction.
