Department of Labor Inspectorsask for training records, especially for First Aid and SHE Representatives. And theappointment letters for staff that received certificates. Personal Protective Equipment – Under General Safety Regulations Section 2 and Lead Regulations Section 12 – have to be issued to staff, either daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. It’s the moral duty and responsibility of the Employer to provide suitable PPE for their staff, as well as training staff on how to use the PPE in the correct manner and how to maintain/take care of their PPE. These training registers must be kept on record. PPE is seen as the last resort when protecting staff, but its vital to have the correct PPE in place.

At Meeka OHS Consulting we conduct PPE surveys, assist with obtaining quotes for the PPE, and assist with the issuing of the PPE, and training staff on the use of their PPE.

  • To conduct a PPE survey may take 2-3 days.
  • To obtain PPE quotes may take 2 days.
  • To issue staff with and train staff on the PPE may take 3 days.
