Safe Working & Operating Procedures
These are detailed requirements for a specific operation or outcome that should clearly identify how the given work or task is done, by whom, and where and when it is done. This is a more precise, step-by-step prescriptive document.
Essentially, a safe work and safe operating procedure is the same document. These documents include Work Permits such as Hot Work Permits, Cold Work Permits, and Lock-out Procedures, and are implemented once a risk assessment is completed.
Meeka OHS Consulting writes and implements these procedures and train staff on the use of these procedures as per the OHSAct Section 13 that states it’s the Duty of the Employer to inform staff of proper work and operating procedures. The duration for implementing and training is done within 3 days.
